Gwili Railway Carmarthen end PWAY track

All rails and sleepers used on the extension are 95lb bullhead rail on concrete sleepers.

Of the two mile extension, one mile has been laid.

All rails and sleepers for the remaining mile are available and are in store.

A quantity of points are also available for the eventual Carmarthen layout.

The Gwili Railway would like to acknowledge the assistance of the Swansea Vale Railway Society who moved to the Gwili Railway in 2010 and have donated much material towards the project.

Immediately south of Bronwydd Arms Level Crossing is the “South Siding”.This was laid in 1985 on made up land.Access to it is with the authority of the Anetts Key which in turn unlocks the ground frame.

Two hundred yards south of Bronwydd Arms is Pontyfelin Level Crossing, the rails here are embedded in concrete and await the first train.

The line is then plain for a mile and currently terminates just short of Bridge No 6.
